I Love Pinterest and Nutella!

Pinterest is addicting and extremely helpful. I found a cute way to send some holiday "dough" across the miles! In addition to cute money gifting ideas, I came across a "Reindeer Chow" recipe, which is just a Christmas rendition of Puppy Chow. The biggest difference in this recipe is the substitution of Nutella for peanut butter! In case you didn't know, I am in love with Nutella! The Reindeer Chow was a hit! I am planning on making teacher gifts with it.

Christmas cards!

Tonight I'm posting a couple of Christmas cards I made for my kids teachers. I will be attatching them to the present that the kids will be giving to their teachers. I have no idea what they are going to be giving them yet though, lol! One is a regular sized card and the other 2 are 4x4 cards. There is one that I don't love and plan on embellishing it more before the kids give it.

Project Life!

So almost a year ago Deanne and I jumped into scrapbooking using the Project Life way, I guess I would say, or method. We have been scrapbookers for 10+ years and when we came upon this method, we were unsure. After watching many you tube videos and researching more about it, we decided to just jump in and see how we like it. Almost a year later and I have scrapbooked more in one year than I have ever in the past years. Of course I am still so behind, I think I have come to understand that I probably will not be caught up unitlmy kids are all out of the house and living on their own. I really cant believe how behind I am, but oh well. I am able to capture more day to day things that go on in our life when the traditional way I would just scrapbook events. I have personally loved how I can fit so many more pictures on a 12x12 page and I now print smaller images because of my Canon Selphy. I use a lot less adhesive and paper, I just feel like it's a win win for me. It's so easy too, you should try it!

Here are a few I was able to make a coupld of days ago. (i actually got to scrapbook for about 2 hours which is so rare!)

Thanks so much for stopping by, let us know how you scrapbook!

Tis' the season!

Christmas season is upon us! If it was up to me it would be year around :). With the weather change and all, kids and parents have been taking turns getting sick! Half of our family were sick last week, (way to spend Thanksgiving break right?!).

I had to go pick up my kids from class a little early yesterday because we had to head somewhere. When I entered my daughters classroom they were singing "Who stole the cookie from the cookie jar?" The kids took turns calling out each other's names and all, one student decided to call on their Teachers Aide, As soon as she began to sing I cringed. She had the same voice I had one week ago, something manly and undescribable....laryngitis. She tried her hardest to be cheerful and sing but I could tell she was hurting. :(  I had lost my voice for 3 days just the week before so I felt her pain. Today my daughter came home and told me that her Teachers Aide was not at school she had gone to see a doctor. She wanted to make her a get well card for her, I was able to talk to my bestie (co-owner of this blog :) ) I told her that I wished I had tea bags to make a little goodie bag with cough drops and put it in a bag. Thankfully yours truly is a hoarder and had all the above items in her pantry. I really wish I had My Pink Stampers Punnylicious stamps tonight, I would have wanted to use the stamp that says,"get whale soon" and we could have cut out a cute little whale.

I cut out a mug from Gypsy Wanderings, I think it was pre-loaded on the Gypsy when I purchased it. I also included 2 green teas, one a decaf honey and lemon tea and a white mangosteen and peach tea with some Halls cough drops. I loved how it turned out. I also cut some extra mugs in case we need to make another bag for someone else soon. Here it is....

Let Our Story Begin

Our blog has been severely neglected. But, we are hoping to change that! Rebecca and I have joined the 'Project Life' band wagon and hope to share that with you soon. I personally started Project Life as a way to try and catch up on my scrapbooks and to document my family's story as we "write" it. I have realized that, as much as I love traditional scrapbooking, I often struggle with creating layouts and embellishing in a timely manner. While I work on my Project Life albums, I hope to be inspired to work on traditional scrapbooking again. For now, I am totally inspired in Project Life and can't wait to share what I have already created!

XOXO,
Deanne

Good morning! Can you believe it's already February?! I wanted to jump online real quick and share with you a very simple card I made for my niece. She turns 2 this week and for Halloween last year she was dressed up as a baby super woman, so when I saw these stickers in my stash, I thought of her! Enjoy & I hope you have a wonderful weekend! Make sure to come back next week for our Valentines goodies for our kids classes!!
